Dedicating my life to health and fitness was an easy decision for me to make. Growing up in Singapore I was exposed to a variety of sporting activities including badminton, ping pong and swimming to name but a few. Athletics soon became my passion. As a teenager I excelled in volley ball becoming the top in my class. As a young woman I was first exposed to professional fitness training when I attended an aerobics class with my cousin at a local woman’s fitness center. Aerobics was very popular back then and I was soon offered the opportunity to train to becoming a professional Instructor. Shortly after receiving my certification I was offered a personal training position at a very prestigious 5 star Hotel & resort facility. It didn’t take long for me to develop a following and my training classes soon became full to capacity, I had found my dream job! I was so excited having the opportunity to help people reach their goals, enhancing their lives and as the same time I was also improving my health and well being. Over the next couple of years, I studied health sciences and improved my training skills. My clients came from a variety of people from all walks of life and age groups.

In 1992 I was thrilled when given the opportunity to attend college in the United States. Upon arriving in New York City I was overwhelmed by the vitality here in the greatest city on earth. I immediately continued my fitness education and obtained more certifications. Following my graduation and after receiving my personal training certification here in New York City, I accepted a position with New York Sports Club (NYSC) and later The Paris Health Club as a personal trainer ny where in each case, I developed a loyal following of clients.

A few years ago I suffered a debilitating injury while traveling. My knee was severely injured and as a result I had to undergo a complicated, painful and invasive surgical procedure requiring extensive rehabilitative physical therapy. For the first time in my life I found myself physically challenged. I was unable to accomplish the simplest tasks which prior to my injury I had taken for granted. I was forced to depend on others to assist me. I felt vulnerable, stressed and frustrated. At the same time during my recovery, I began to read countless books on nutrition, supplements, spirituality, and body building. Even now I realize how important it was for me to go through my personal health crisis. I can relate to and empathize even more now with my clients who are elderly and physically challenged as well as individuals who are dealing with an exorbitant amount of stress.

I have many clients with severe health challenges, I can relate and empathize with them. It really shakes me to my core because I know how it feels to be physically challenged in a way that you feel that you're sleep walking through life. Given this background and debilitating health issues, I've had the pleasure of helping clients with their health challenges. I've established a team approach by working with several integrative medical doctors to address many health issues for my clients such as sports injuries, cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, adrenal fatigue, physical fatigue, hormonal imbalance, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and many more. With a healthy diet, sound exercise program and a really good medical doctor, I feel confident that I can help a new client with their specific goals and challenges. Currently, after trying different treatment protocols I feel like a completely different person. Periodically, I go to my doctor to do various tests which show improvement. I am happy with the change in my life and career.

That chapter luckily has passed and now I'm wide awake and ready for a new chapter. I believe things happen for a reason.
In today’s fast paced high stress world, I love helping people to cope with their lives and also enhance their well being with health and fitness.
